About

Part color fiend, part hypothesis muppet, Marit Munson learned to dye yarn in 2012 and immediately began asking "What would happen if..."  Her unique dye process combines equal parts inspiration and serendipity to create colourful, lively gradients and tonals, hand-dyed on high quality, natural fibre yarn.

Marit, a white woman with very short hair, stands holding the very first gobsmacked skein. She has a huge grin on her face. A whiteboard in the background says "hypothesis muppet"
After many years of part-time dyeing in Peterborough, Ontario, Marit moved gobsmacked in 2020, joining her wife in Sackville, New Brunswick.  Following a health-related hiatus in 2021-22, Marit returned to dyeing full time in Sept. 2022.
