Dyeing to Spin

Learn to dye spinning fibre in a creative and supportive setting. We'll use a combination of low-water immersion and steaming to create rich colour on your choice of merino, merino/ silk, or Corriedale fibre.  No experience necessary-- come and play in the dye pots! 

Materials: You'll work with 100g of your choice of 100% superfine merino, 70% merino + 30% silk, or 100% Corriedale top.  Please indicate your choice in the notes section when you register.

Class size: Four people maximum.

Skill level: No experience necessary.

Class fee: $57 ($40 instruction fee + $17 materials) includes instruction + dyes and materials for dyeing 100g of prepared top.  An additional top may be purchased during class ($17/ top + tax).

Location: gobsmacked yarn, 6 Ford Lane, Sackville, New Brunswick

Cancellation policy: Registration fees are refundable (minus a 10% admin fee) until 24 hours prior to class.  No refunds are available within 24 hours of class.  (If you are sick, please do not come to class; contact me to make alternate arrangements.)
